Job Summary

At WiiGroup, we integrate advanced project controls, planning systems, and commercial management practices with real-time construction delivery to execute world-class data centre projects.

We are seeking a Senior Planner / Quantity Surveyor based in Cairo, Egypt, to support the successful delivery of major mission-critical construction projects. This role combines expertise in planning and scheduling with commercial and cost management responsibilities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with contractual requirements.

The successful candidate will play a key role in programme management, cost control, contract administration, procurement support, reporting, and stakeholder coordination across all phases of project delivery.

Our Ideal Candidate

You are an experienced construction professional with strong expertise in both project planning and quantity surveying. You thrive in fast-paced, high-value environments and possess the technical and commercial acumen required to manage programme performance and project costs simultaneously.

You are confident analysing project progress, assessing change, managing commercial risk, and supporting project teams in achieving key milestones. You take ownership of your work, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and leverage digital tools to provide meaningful insights into project performance.

You are detail-oriented, proactive, commercially aware, and passionate about driving excellence in planning and project controls within technologically advanced construction environments.

Experience Required

  • 8-15+ years' experience in construction planning, quantity surveying, cost management, or project controls within large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.

  • Strong experience working on data centres, commercial developments, industrial projects, MEP installations, or mission-critical environments.

  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 for planning, scheduling, and programme management.

  • Experience preparing and managing project budgets, forecasts, cost reports, and earned value analysis.

  • Strong understanding of FIDIC contracts and contract administration.

  • Proven experience managing variations, claims, valuations, and change control processes.

  • Ability to develop, update, and maintain project schedules throughout the full project lifecycle.

  • Experience supporting procurement processes, tender evaluations, subcontractor management, and commercial reporting.

  • Strong knowledge of project controls, including progress measurement, productivity analysis, and forecasting.

  • Experience working closely with project teams to identify schedule and commercial risks and implement mitigation strategies.

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex project data and communicate findings effectively.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools, with exposure to Power BIconsidered advantageous.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail, accountability, and ability to perform under pressure.

Desirable

  • Experience on hyperscale or mission-critical data centre projects.

  • Previous experience working on international projects for multinational clients.

  • Familiarity with BIM, 4D Planning, Digital Project Controls, and construction technology platforms.

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Membership of a recognised professional body (RICS, CIOB, AACE, or equivalent).

  • Strong digital mindset with exposure to integrated project controls environments.

  • Experience supporting projects across the Middle East, Europe, or North Africa.

Key Responsibilities

Planning & Project Controls

  • Develop, maintain, and update integrated project schedules using Primavera P6.

  • Monitor project progress against baseline programmes and identify risks to completion.

  • Produce look-ahead schedules, delay analyses, and recovery programmes where required.

  • Coordinate schedule inputs from engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams.

  • Support project reporting through dashboards, KPIs, and performance metrics.

Quantity Surveying & Commercial Management

  • Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, cash flow reports, and cost plans.

  • Review and administer contracts, variations, claims, and change orders.

  • Conduct valuations and commercial assessments of subcontractor and supplier accounts.

  • Support procurement and tendering activities, including commercial evaluations.

  • Monitor project expenditures and identify opportunities for cost optimisation.

  • Contribute to commercial reporting and provide regular updates to project leadership.

Stakeholder Management

  • Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.

  • Participate in project control and commercial review meetings.

  • Support project leadership with strategic planning and commercial decision-making.
